>> ๐ต๐ช Peruvian Food Is My Favorite Cuisine And Here Is Why! ๐ฝ️ ๐ค๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐น
I had a great dinner the other night - so great I thought I should share! Mostly, why Peruvian food is my favorite cuisine. To understand this, we have to go waaay back to my time in NYC. This is where I had Peruvian food for the first time. I used to live in the borough of Queens and there at Sunnyside to be precise, was one amazing, yet tiny Peruvian restaurant I still fondly remember. On my way home I often stopped by there to pick up dinner for 6$!!!! That included a quarter chicken, rice, fries (or chips as they say here) a salad and a delicious Peruvian dip. (or 2 because I asked for some extra) I often had long days and that was my reward. So good!!
1 salsa, 2 salsas? All the salsas!!

So here in London, I have not found many (good) Peruvian restaurants besides this one so far! The food was delicious, the company was great and the place unsurprisingly packed. One point I need to mention is this, while the pollo had the original taste as I remember it (they put the chicken in a sauce of Peruvian herbs for 24 hours to achieve this) they did not have my absolute favorite Peruvian dish of all time on the menu: Jalea!!! I must include an example photo at the end. Jalea is a huge fresh and crunchy salad with salsa and fried seafood on top!! It is family meal style - to share. I mean I can only share if there is anything left. ☺️ OMG - delicioso!!! Have not found it in London yet. If you know where I can find it, email me.
Sorry I already took a big bite out of this roll after dipping it into the salsa before I took this photo.
Jalea!!! OMG! ๐ฑ If you know, you know..
